Environmental Remedial Action Operations/Long-Term Monitoring:
Scope of services includes all aspects of remedial action operation and long-term monitoring. This includes remedial action operation, monitoring, inspection and reporting of remedial action operations, system upgrades to improve efficiency, chemical treatments, contaminant source removals, establishing and abandoning monitoring wells, managing and disposing of wastes, upgrading remedial action operations to improve efficiency, and developing technical memoranda.
Water Treatment for Steam Plant:
Scope of services involved a turn-key project to remove spent anion and cation resins, analyze the spent resins for hazardous waste characteristics, dispose of the spent resins in a licensed facility, inspect the treatment vessels, replenish the vessels with new anion and cation resins, and ensure proper operation of the water treatment/demineralization plant.
Cooling Water Treatment, Monitoring, and Reporting:
Scope of services involved establishing and executing a treatment program to control scale, corrosion, and biological growth in 28 open, recirculating water tower systems base-wide. Work activities included supplying and maintaining sufficient treatment chemical inventories at all times; collecting and analyzing cooling water samples bimonthly to monitor treatment chemical levels, and recommending dosage adjustments if needed; collecting and analyzing 30-, 60- and 90-day corrosion coupons for scale and corrosion; submitting detailed and summary reports on treatment chemical inventories, treatment levels in cooling water systems, and corrosion rates to management supervisors; and conducting annual plant operator training.
